Come to network and learn from our guests speakers, Dr. Gregg A. Pizzi (Clinical & Forensic Psychologist / www.PizziPSYC.com) and Dan Sheridan (Licensed Psychologist / http://www.authenticselfgroup.com) on the topic of "Mental Health for Attorneys". Our speakers will provide education, feedback, and guidance regarding the ever-evolving dynamics of mental health and the law.

As a forensic psychologist, Dr. Pizzi has been designated an expert witness by several courts. He is certified by the American Psychological Association in Washington, DC, as a Psychologist HIV Trainer. He has traveled throughout the United States & Canada, as well as to Europe, Australia, Central & South America, Mexico, and the Caribbean, including Puerto Rico & Cuba. He has a passion for Latin-American cultures and has studied the dialects, regional influences, and cultural nuances of the Spanish language. He is bicultural and bilingual, possessing oral & written fluency in Spanish.
Dr. Pizzi has spoken on numerous occasions at professional conferences and trainings on such topics as providing clinical services to the GLBT community, forensic psychology in the family court system, evaluation & treatment of juvenile & adult sexual offenders, HIV in prisoners with mental illness, treatment of substance abuse & HIV, professional ethics, and Latino Men Who Have Sex With Men (LMSM).

Dr. Daniel Sheridan is a licensed psychologist and graduate of the APA-accredited Counseling Psychology doctoral program from the University of Miami. Throughout his education and training, Dr. Dan has excelled in both therapeutic work and clinical research and has been the recipient of several awards and honors including ‘Outstanding Doctoral Student in Counseling Psychology’ and first-place winner of a university-wide dissertation competition titled, ‘Three-Minute Thesis’. As a clinician, Dr. Dan has trained in community mental health clinics and university counseling centers treating a wide arrange of presenting concerns including depression, anxiety, relationship concerns, LGBTQ+ issues, trauma, and substance use.
As a researcher, Dr. Dan has examined the impact of discrimination, internalized heterosexism, and the coming-out process on the health and well-being of the LGBTQ+ community. His work has been published in peer-reviewed journals and he has presented at several national conferences. In addition to his work as a private practice clinician, he sits on the board of directors for the Southeast Florida Association for Psychoanalytic Psychology.
